Meet Dr. DelSignore
Dr. Somer DelSignore is a champion of root-cause medicine.
Board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP-BC) · MAPS Fellow 2025 · ILADS member

“The child who changes overnight is having a medical event, not a behavioral one.”
It started in a hospital corridor.
She was ten years old, watching a team work to save her mother after a car accident. That was the seed. She wanted to be one of the people who could do that for someone else’s family.
She chose nursing over medicine deliberately. Not see the disease, treat the disease, but the whole picture: the environment, the food, the sleep, the mind and the body, together. Time in a pediatric intensive care unit taught her how fast a child can change. And how much can be going on underneath one symptom.
Then she went back for her Doctor of Nursing Practice — to lead her patients’ care, not just carry it out.
The illness the system keeps moving past.
Dr. DelSignore treats chronic, multi-system illness in children and young adults — the families who have already been through the specialists and come away with pieces of an answer.
Tick-borne illness. PANS and PANDAS. The child who changes overnight. Mast cell activation. The long tail of an infection that never fully cleared.
She trained under two clinicians who defined the field: one in pediatric Lyme, one in PANS/PANDAS. What she built from it is her own: the R.E.S.E.T. protocol, ten root causes mapped for every family before anything is treated.
A kitchen table in the Hudson Valley.
She came home and began seeing families at a kitchen table — families who had already decided they were following her. That practice is now Hudson Valley Integrative Health, on Main Street in Beacon.
It has stayed small on purpose. That is not modesty. Small is why the work holds up.
